Mobile Stations down heard some DX

I don't know what this would be but when 96.1 was down earlier today, I heard hip hop then top 40 fading in and out.

Anyone know what this could be?

96.1
97.5
and 99.9 went back all in a row like they may have been doing transmitter maitance.

No takers? Okay, I'll take a stab at it.

There's a C2 in Tallahassee (37kw@479') doing urban as "96.1 Jamz" or something similar... As for top 40 - could that have been Alice 96.1 (is that still Alice?) from Montgomery? It's only 900 watts @ 821', but stranger things have happened.

Another candidate is a AC-type station in Baton Rouge, KRVE "The River", which I think is 50kw @ 450'.

If it was any of them, those were some good catches--Tallahasse is what... 200+ miles from Mobile?
