Modesto Morning News on AM 970 KESP

I have noticed recently that KESP-ESPN Radio 970 Modesto has dropped Morning Sports Talk in favor of a Morning News Block common for NewsTalk stations and not Sports Talk Stations. The news announcers are Eric Nelson and Jamie Lee with Karen Cahill doing traffic. It is a combination of local and national news provided by ABC News, ESPN Sportscenter and the California News Network.When did this change?It sounds pretty good(not KCBS good but better than the old KMPH-FM news.

Citadel's sports talker KCUB/Tucson does the same from 6-10am. To increase cume? Stupid.
 
Hey, nice comment. Of course it blows off any Sports P-1's.
not to mention the pathetic local sports lineup that replaced
Rome. Very well targeted operation.
