Mohr to replace Rome

It was announced that actor/comedian/frequent Jim Rome show guest and sub-host Jay Mohr will take over the 12-3p slot fulltime on FSR as of 1/3/12.

Now how this plays in to what happens to Rome's show here...I have no idea.

You'd have to assume that WARF 1350/Akron (being an FSR affilate) will take Mohr's show.

Could Mohr wind up on 850 and/or 1540? It would be interesting to see if it happens.

It's possible.

Mohr has been a guest on several occasions on RBS and with Kenny Roda over the years, a lot of it due to his connection with the Rome show.

And technicalities aside about Premiere/Fox Sports, Mohr's new show is essenitally a direct replacement of/succesor to "The Jungle".

From the description of the show, it sounds like it's gonna lean more towards mancave territory than straight-up sports, so it would flow nicely with the similarly constructed RBS.

We'll see, but it certainly is a legitmate and realistic possibility.

Premier isn't listing affiliates for Mohr yet. CBS, though, does list WKNR as the Cleveland affiliate for Rome, who has no affiliates in New York, LA, Chicago, Boston, Phoenix, St. Louis, or Miami

Nearby FSR stations which are confirmed to carry Jay Mohr include:

WARF 1350 Akron
WCWA 1230 Toledo
WNIO 1390 Youngstown

Jim Rome as it's been confirmed will remain on longtime Cleveland home WKNR 850 (1st hour on WWGK 1540).

Rome will now also be heard on WLQR 106.5 Toledo and WBBW 1240 Youngstown, as they are Cumulus stations which will flip to CBS Sports Radio on January 2.
