Mojo 94.9

I listen to this station online all the time. I'm glad it made it through the Jammin Oldies fad that started a few years ago across the country. I love the music mix. I'm a huge fan of old school R&B and dance music. How is it doing in the ratings in Cincinnati? What does everyone (who is a fan of old school) think about the station? The one thing that I think they should change is playing 60's and 70's common oldies like "I Can't Help Myself" by the Four Tops and "Could It Be I'm Falling In Love" by the Spinners for example, and stick to playing 70's, 80's, and 90's R&B and dance tunes you don't hear anywhere else. Cincinnati already has Oldies 103.5 WGRR. To play music that no one else plays is what makes Mojo unique and fun to listen to.
______________

Does anyone listen to Mojo 94.9?

176 readers (and counting) and no repsonses? Somebody must have an opinion on Mojo.
______________

The "common oldies" are an integral part of the format. I don't see that changing as long as the format stays the same. With the possible sale of Susquehanna, who knows?

I think Mojo 94.9 is a great station. They put out a hell of a signal up north here in Dayton, and I've heard it as far north as Piqua with hardly any fading in and out. We had 106.5 when it was jammin oldies, but the playlist and the lack of DJ presence of the station made it feel cheap and therefore less superior to Mojo. I hope that they do not change their ways, even though with 103.5 being their competition (which is another great station, we dont have an oldies station in Dayton) those stations do not need to change.

Re: What does that mean?

***Oscar, it is a reference to an old Simpsons episode.

Homer gets his hands on a small monkey by the name of Mojo and he trains Mojo to wait on him hand and foot and be his pal. By the end of the episode Mojo's partied and overworked to the point of exhaustion. When his handlers pick him up and get him back to his home they ask him how he is, then put a keyboard in front of him and Mojo then types "Pray for Mojo".

I was hoping that someone would remember that episode.:)
