Moment of Truth?

That's what it is. News broke a while back it was returning (in syndication).

Hell, if we're going to do that, bring back "Concentration"!

Is NBC still holding on to the rights to Concentration and keeping anyone else from doing anything with it?

Yes, as far as I know....however it pleased me to know that YouTube has three recently-uploaded 50s/60s/70s Concentration eps. Best to type in concentration nbc in the search. Also there's one if you type, including the quotation marks, "1969 game show" ....well worth the watch!

And, may I say, if they ever bring it back, *not* to have the dumbed-down 25-square board....but today's audiences likely wouldn't go for it....they might go down to 16!

 Why is NBC holding onto the rights for a show that is clearly not a threat to their programming? If it is a threat, why are they not airing the show on NBC in a modern form? (or classic)

(I know we are going far OT, but) I wish I had an answer for that question.

Norm Blumenthal, who thought up ALL the rebuses (rebi? :D ) for the original show PLUS those for the Milton Bradley home games, is still with us...and he even recently wrote a book about when game shows were king in daytime. He would be the guy to ask...I would sure like to be able to contact him myself!

Getting back to the original topic, I wonder...is this new "Moment of truth" just going to be Christmas Holiday filler? OR What's the deal there???

To take cruel to the next level, wouldn't it be just awful to say "Merry Christmas! Here's the truth!"

OR

Do we have a special edition where the parents are over joyed about the truth?

::) I doubt it. I'm guessing the show won't air until after Christmas...shock and all!

A syndicated series isn't holiday filler...that's not how the business works.
