Fresno / Central Valley Momentum gaining more momentum

Buying 1370 KGEN and 94.5 KGEN for $400,000. Seller retains KTIP and translator.

1370 was semi regular in SE WY and I've heard it a time or two up in Alaska on night power. Heard 94.5 in SE WY Once.

1270 KVMI is an excellent station... its all around, exactly what i think of, when i envision a station like that. 1270 was very regular in SE WY and it's made it up to Alaska a few times.

Always strange, KGEN-FM's Community of License is Hanford yet the station's 70 dBu contour does not cover the entire city - even in the previous years.

Momentum probably will drop the 1270 towers. The multi-tower site sits on the better-valued cropland east of Tulare versus the drier (and lower) terrain where the KGEN 1370 antenna has been located. The 97.5 translator (great coverage) will have to be fed from some other source in that case.

This is a stick(s)-only sale as KTIP Porterville continues on . I wish them well.
