Monmouth/Ocean Ratings- Press in Trouble?

So after a year or so of not being publicly, Monmouth/Ocean 6+ ratings were released yesterday (excluding out of market stations... so... lots. ha)

Is there ANY way for Press to spin the numbers of WBBO and WWZY? Sure both are now essentially one-county stations (since WWZY dropped the WBHX simulcast, not that it looked like it mattered in the ratings), but they are getting clobbered. At least Thunder 106 still looks relatively solid in-market.

(Of course, this will fuel tons of internet speculation etc. But with ratings THAT low? Something's gotta give at some point.)

@allthestars First of all its 12+ not 6+....Now when you say Thunder looks "relatively solid" and for the past year they have been the top music station it leads me to believe that you don't know the definition of relative or solid. A year above a 4 share 12+...when has that was the last time that was done by a music station in this market? I don't think you can speak to the context of relative because you're just a troll and should be embarrassed of yourself.

Apologies for the simple typo. PPM markets are 6+.

And while you try to paint me as a troll and an embarrassment because you believe I don't know what I'm talking about, may I point out how incorrect you are?

Thunder 106 has been above a 4 share 12+ for over a year. Technically yes. But there are only two books a year. You need a better sample than just that. My simple statement of them being "relatively solid" is an opinion. Apologies that this doesn't fit your personalized definition of each word. Also, "When has that was the last time that was done by a music station in this market" is in no way a proper sentence, yet you criticize over a typo of 6+ instead of 12+?

You also are only looking at the in-market subscribing stations. Yes, Thunder is the number 1 music station...of those subscribing to Nielsen. What about the stations from New York that regularly make ratings waves in Monmouth/Ocean? They are not publicly displayed in the ratings. WPLJ, WHTZ etc. have great ratings histories in Monmouth/Ocean. (I'd grab actual numbers, but Archive.org is currently offline for maintenance).

Now, considering you have six total posts, and all of them are either A.) Defending Press stations or B.) Making fun of someone's internet station for no reason (the definition of trolling), I don't understand your definition of "trolling;" just like your personal definitions of "relatively" and "solid."

Anything else you'd like to attempt to educate me about?

What if Thunder is above EVERY music radio station in the market? Not saying I know that but what IF I did? Maybe you can go to your site and see who was number 1 so please don't ever assume what I'm looking at or know.

I respond to these post because all you people do is wait for something bad to happen here and say negative things...maybe you don't like the company but there are a bunch of people that work there that are in love with radio and it sucks that people can hide behind a message board name and trash them. It's a joke...I can give you my name and my resume. There are a few things I can educate you on.

I know there are a bunch of people who work there, and I know that they have a passion for radio. That doesn't mean they are doing it well. (Or corporate is handcuffing them from doing it well... we don't know.)

You talk about passion and heart. Those are good things to have, but it means nothing if it doesn't translate into ratings and revenue.

Honestly, I don't care who you are or what your resume says. In the (Currently) 7 posts you have made on this board, all you have posted is unproven speculation, and insults directed at people you don't like.

If you have a foot in the pool at Press, that's cool, and I hope you enjoy the work you do. But understand that for the most part, the ratings aren't there.
