Monmouth/Ocean Winter '12 Raitings

With none of the Townsquare or NYC/Philly stations in the public ratings, it looks very different than the public ratings we're used to. Thunder is steady....Breeze down by a share....Rat now at a 1.8, WJRZ at a 1.4, B98.5 at a 1.1...and WHTG-AM manages to pull a .5 after not showing up at all for 2 years - right after the PD/morning guy and afternoon guy were let go.

Very surprised that Townsquare doesn't buy Mon/Oc ratings....guess they weren't worth the money.

*smirk* Townsquare.....I have no comment about them, but we can pretty much know where they stand.  As for the obvious, I did my part with a certain station, and I'm going to leave it at that.  Other than that, I'm enjoying dance music at the Jersey Shore.

unless most of the stations in the market subscribe, the ratings are pretty much worthless (at least to the public.)

I'm guessing that Townsquare is not using ratings to get commercial buys. Just as I'm guessing the NYC and Philly stations are not selling NJ.

OK know it alls. This is the first Winter book EVER for Monmouth Ocean. It's been a two book market,
Spring and Fall, the important ones. Now Arbitron is offering Summer and Winter. It doesn't take a
brain surgeon to see that the summer book is worthless in a Shore town, and the Winter book doesn't
mean much either. Townsquare Media made a wise choice.
