Mono FMs

Not counting stations any FM stations that run spoken word formats in Mono, how many stations are still in mono? I know of 3 that are now stereo:

92.1 WLNG - Oldies Sag Harbor Long Island added Stereo last year.

88.9 WJMJ - Bloomfield, CT add Stereo a couple years back. (I'm not sure what to call this station's format. They're owned by St. Thomas Seminary and run a lot of religious programming, but they also play a lot of secular music now. Similar to the older music the play on Lite 100.5 plus they also carry the syndicated American Standards by the Sea).

104.9 WIHS - Religious Preaching & Teaching (and some music) Middletown, CT recently added stereo.

The new 97.9 ESPN in Hartford, Connecticut in stereo.

102.3 WYVC, Camden, AL airs an urban gospel format with sermons. It's a mono Class A using 6000 watts, but it has a following well beyond its base in Wilcox County, AL.

WAAZ Crestview/Fort Walton Beach Fl is Classic County with RDS but is in mono. In fact, they still have their original RCA mono console.

WLNG is now in stereo.

WHLQ 105.5 in Lawrenceville, Virginia, runs a black gospel format and, I think, still broadcasts in mono. At least they did so for years as WHFD.

WSGS Hazard, KY has been mono for much of its existence. They have attempted stereo but the mountains reeks havoc with multipath so they revert to mono.

WMCR-FM in Oneida, N. Y. was mono until just a few years ago.

In Dallas, WBAP-FM (news talk, simulcast with 820), KWRD-FM (religious talk) and KESN (ESPN Sports) broadcast in mono to get the most out out of their rimshot signals.

In Tyler-Longview, KTBB-FM (ESPN) and KZTK (Talk) are in mono.

We have a few musical FM's in mono in Miami-Ft. Lauderdale. Of course, they are all pirates. ;)

WAXY-FM 104.3 West Palm Beach is now mono, as they are sports-talk, mostly a relay of AM 790.

Let's see, KXL and K272EL (KEX simulcast) are both mono. KPDQ went to mono when they went up to 93.9 a few years back, and as far as I know it's still that way.

Yeah, I know these stations are all talkers (spoken word.) So sue me.

KQBU-Port Arthur @ 93.3 (Houston Rimshot) airs in mono and is a Regional Mexican music station.

All 4 mono FM's in Houston, Tx. regardless of spoken or musical format as follows:

92.1 KROI- News/Talk
93.3 KQBU- Regional Mexican
97.5 KFNC- ESPN Affiliate
100.7 KKHT- Christian ministry and music

In other words, a station with a Catholic format ;D

KTAR-FM in Phoenix dropped stereo this year. They are a full-market news/talk station (really no need to be in stereo). They still broadcast RDS and HD though.

KIKO-FM Globe, AZ (Comedy) and their sister translator of KBSZ on 96.1 in Fort McDowell, AZ (Talk) are both in mono to reach the population centers better.
