I know there are a few who don't like it when I refer to Dori as Doris but a current entry at KIRO's website proves he's just a whiny lil' bee-otch.

I can't even bring myself to watch a video of the jock sniffer in action but the tag line says it all - he's moaning about "his" studio compared to the new ones for ESPN.

Unreal. We're heading toward 10% unemployment, massive lay-offs in radio and THIS is what he's upset about? Proves my point that he can rant about how much he hates govt. interference UNTIL - it's something he wants. Hey Dori? Here's a thought. Why don't you assemble the members of your Pimp Club - all the flooring companies, kitchen cabinet firms, window replacement types - and whore out a new control room?

He's a tough guy, trumpeting how competitive he is, how Christian Bale needs a punch in the face - and a shabby control room produces a teary-eyed blog.

Again - this is the best KIRO can do? I for one think I'm looking forward to ESPN.
 
Ha ha ha ha ha ha! These "Doris" posts are the most entertaining thing on Radio-Info, and they couldn't happen to a "nicer" guy. Doris is SUCH a tool.
 
Well, 3 outta 4 ain't bad.

jupiter2 - I'll bet I don't spend more than 60 minutes a week listening to KIRO. It's just that when I do listen, it doesn't take long to start gritting my teeth. Weekends are ok. I like "In the Kitchen" and I like the Money Talk guy even tho I can't follow finance for the life of me. I like the morning team. I like most of the news staff although guys with high voices are grating. I like Phil the New Junkie whenever I catch him. Dave Ross is okay - usually. He, Dave? How many of those $12,000 Duc beds have you sold lately? I think you might want to cut a deal to endorse Ikea futons.

I'm starting to listen to KIRO more these days but the problem there is that it's kind of like CNN Headlines - the same stories repeated overandover.

But as much as you'd like to think it - I listen very little. So no ratings help from me.

KCradionut - If I were Dori, I'd ... I'd ... well, I'd do something terrible to myself. No, I'm not that dork.


jensenbay - Yeah, I was taking a break. I was feeling very low by all the radio firings and I still do. And I feel guilty when I hit "post" on a Doris rant - it's really isn't like me. If we met, you'd never know I'm the type to slam this goof. But sometimes I lose control and I get very angry at what I hear - which might be what KIRO wants, huh? I'll probably take another break, but then there's ...

mikefright - who has impeccable taste, a rockin' board name and is certainly a refined gentleman.
