Montel To Replace Stephanie On KTLK?

It was announced that next month, Montel Williams would be starting a new radio show on Air America that will air live 9 AM-12 Noon ET... or 6-9 AM local time.

Does anyone know if KTLK will be carrying the show live, or perhaps on tape delay in the vacant slot after Stephanie Miller?

All I know is, when I see a photo of Montel with the KTLK logo in the backdrop, it's probably a sign that he'll be joining the station...

Note to Montel: Don't allow your friend Sylvia Browne one second of air time lest you want any shred of credibility to remain.
 
I didn't think Air America had anything left of its foot to shoot, but if it does, this would certainly finish off the job. Putting an admitted habitual drug user that has zero radio experience on in place of a proven radio talent like Stephanie Miller is just idiotic. Par for the course for Air America though.

Considering their past should we be surprised?
 
Air America is running on fumes and KTLK 1150 ignores most of its programming, carrying only the Ron Reagan show, Rachel Maddow's highlight hour and a couple of weekend shows.
Stephanie Miller's show is the number two-rated talker in LA morning drive right behind Bill Handel, and provides a huge lead-in for Thom Hartmann at 9am. Does anyone really think that Clear Channel will mess with success and drop Miller's show in favor of some TV celebrity who's completely untested on radio? Can you say Janeane Garafolo? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
 
Since Randi Rhodes is MIA I'm guessing it would air the show time delay, around 12PM-3 PST. (3PM-6PM EST) I find it baffling that they are replacing Lionel with a former daytime TV Talk Show personality. They tried it with Jerry and that failed. Lionel it the only Air America Talker that placed in Talkers heavy 100 list. It would not make sense to removed Stephanie Miller the only one that brings in revenue to KTLK with Montel.
