Montgomery Is Getting Another Radio Station

Really? Another one! What's the deal with Translatorss in Montgomery? They have more than any metro around these parts. Just look up a list of FM translators. Then pull up a list of TV translators and LD allocations/CPs. It's insane.
Someone needs to reorganize the FM dial and squeeze in a couple more C1 or C2 stations. Montgomery only has 4 or 5 real full market signals.
And the abundance LD/CA TV and TV Translators makes no sense whatsoever.

There will be some mixing issues, when one is traveling east of White Hall, from my study of their respected coverage areas. WBFZ can be heard in the West and Central side of Montgomery. This translator is going to cause issues for WBFZ, in a bad way. Simply put, the translator needs to relocate at once. 105.3 FM is a bad place for them. Mr. Hank and WBFZ Radio will complain about this one and rightly so, when they learn of it.

Just thought of something. Thank you brain cells and thinking cap for working good tonight. I see this relay moving to Demopolis and rebroadcasting WXAL. Once built and turned on, I see them and WXAL becoming a new Classic Hits station for Demopolis.

If a translator is moved in under the AM revitalization plan, it's locked in to the parent station for something like two years. It cannot move out of the market or change stations during that period. Even if it doesn't work, it appears they are stuck with it.
