Monty Stoller (KYKO Roofing) dead

From Bruce St. James:

Sad to report our favorite Scotsman, Monty Stoller of KYKO Roofing, passed away today. Besides the hilarious commercials he did with Pat McMahon, he lit up every room he walked into. Hard to think someone so full of life is gone. R.I.P.

Damn....nothing is better than local commercials that are odd and different.

Rest in Peace Monty

As a born again commercial hater I have to admit enjoying listening to Monty describe his business. he was indeed a unique character who never had to identify himself.

Where is JJ, the owner, the KING OF BEEPERS! when we need him most?

We'll miss you, Monty :( Now all we have is the guy doing a/c commercials during the Dennis Miller show- "OOfta, it's hot outside".
Haven't heard Ed the tree guy in awhile.

I'm not an easy sell for radio ads because, having been in radio elsewhere, I've had to do persuasive production for folks I've considered sleazy.
But somehow I always liked the Kiko ads. He sounded sincere, and like he was having a good time with it as well.
If I'd been a homeowner in Phoenix instead of renting, he'd have gotten my business.
