More Automation Problems on WXCT

You guys are very kind...

No one said it would be easy, but we are bustin our butts to make a difference. We hope more people will enjoy what we are doing!

Alan, I'm not positive but I don't think Thom worked at WICC. He was on the WDRC AM/FM simulcast back in the day! He's told me about getting calls from Newfoundland or New Brunswick! And he used to work here in the 70's as well. Kind of interesting 'cause you know he's *only 44*....

Re: More Radio PRO's on WXCT

It's an ongoing joke, Marc. Thom may not *really* be 44, but he's a proud Grandpa and a serious radio professional who has never lost his sense of humor and style on the air. He's a man who loves what he does and does what he loves. I'm not sure which is more needed in the radio industry... more people like Thom, or more stations willing to put people of his caliber on the air.

I know he's not really 44. I know him personally from when I worked at WXCT 3 years ago. And you know something? He's just as funny in real life as he is on the radio. One afternoon I was "co-hosting" with Charlie on his 1PM-3PM show and Thom came down for some reason or another. It was getting to be 3:30 and I needed a ride up to the library to catch a ride from my mom. Thom said he would take me. So I get in his car and can't get my seatbelt on. I'm a large guy to begin with and when I'm wearing a winter coat I'm even more bulkier. So Thom said it's okay I couldn't get my seatbelt on and he'd aim my side of the car towards the telephone pole. ;D
