More balanced charts...is that a good thing?

I've noticed that the pop charts are more heavy with urban songs... and not just that, but people like 50 Cent and Pretty Ricky.. are they really pop?<P ID="signature">______________

Yeah it's a good thing I'm sick of hearing the same genre over and over again...rap :argh:.

I don't think Hip-Hop is nearly as popular as some music directors might think. I'm hearing from alot of young people who maintain they positively loathe gangsta rap. And then there's the success of late of Rock acts like Green Day and Weezer.
