Straight from the horse's Mouth:

Friday, December 29th will be Bill Trifiro’s last day at WHJJ. Since joining our news team almost two years ago as a reporter/anchor, Bill has been an incredible asset to WHJJ. Bill has been incredibly important to our operation, acting as news anchor and editor of our afternoon newscasts. His wonderful attitude and enthusiasm for news are contagious and will be missed.


Bill already has several “irons in the fire” and will surely land a great gig soon. Please join me in wishing him well and saying thanks for all his hard work. (He will be anchoring morning drive news on WHJJ and WHJY on Friday, so he will only be around in the morning.)

Yeah Skidmarks is real credible on HJJ. He is good on HJY because he fits the station image but even though he uses his real name on HJJ, well maybe it's just people in the business who know and don't take him seriously.

Well whose fault is that? he sounds like a jokester during the news. But shouldn't the news director/program director/whatever his job is be the one to say something about it?
 
HJJ has really turned into a "Mickey Mouse" operation. Today, at 2:30 p.m. they presented last weeks news as todays. Told us about Gov. Carcieri's Inaugural taking place next Tues. and Saddam to be hung on Saturday. Really sharp newscast. Hehe!!!
 
I always enjoyed Bill's voice and professionalism.

Now, the boob, Quinn, could take some lessons in compassionate conservatism .
What an embarrassment he is, my son who resides in Pittsburgh warned me about him. He began this morning by questioning "What was so great about President Ford?"
Well, his intelligence, compassion, ethics on and on.

Then, he had a call from a VFW Commander in Mary land, he is a Marine Vet. WEll, Quinn, intellectually could not keep up with him, vis a vis the senseless Iraqui War.
So, Quinn, stated he had a break coming up, which he did not. He was outwitted, outsmarted intellectually. The Commander was with, and his name and status could be verified.

WHJJ is an embarrassment.

I also hope Laugh and friend to the ones with blood on their hands (Dederians do not land at WHJJ).

So what happened to Tony Farr? HJJ had this Dave Barber sounding guy on today.
I listened to 20 minutes and switched to 1030.
Are they just completely INSANE at HJJ or what.
 
Tony had told that he wouldn't be on today or tomorrow. Some guy named Paul
(who I think was a radio guy) filled in. Tony will be back Thurs and Fri.
 
Corwin has told a friend of mine they have a green light to sign Depetro.

Interesting, because Ron at WPRO has been speaking to Corwin about Cianci. Walter.

Because when CC started their FM news/talker in Pittsburgh, they wanted an anchor in AMD. Quinn had excellent ratings on some regionally-owned classic rock station, and CC's advantage (since they hate to actually pay people) was to offer him syndication on their dumping-ground AMs, like the ones in Akron and Wheeling where they wouldn't dare hire a local host for mornings.

As bad as they may be, Imus isn't exactly on the upswing, so they could very well move into AMD once his contract expires, esp. seeing that CC owns Q&R. I suppose that answers my question as to why Jim Bohannon is still on 920... they need to run another WW1 show to keep a lower rate (or no rate) for the I-Man.
 
On his site, DePetro again says big news is coming ('HJJ slot?) and he now says the petition on his site will be taken down soon. This petition was started by a listener...and if he indeed is coming back to Prov., then a petition asking WRKO to re-hire him (chances about the same as Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump
announcing they're getting married) will be a moot point...
 
I'm sick of all the petitions! Enough already! No one cares about the freaking petitions!

Note: Madison, you think you accomplished something by saving AAR, but you didn't... you were foolish pawns in a corporate titan's stunt.
