More Blood at WHJJ

Tony Farr is good on local Rhode Island Issues. For National, no, he still does not understand many want out of IRAQ. Why is it so difficult for some to admit that they voted for someone who lied and did have an agenda. The agenda has caused the death of over 3,000, not to mention how many Iraqui's. Also, how many in this country are permanently brain damaged??
 
he was good today filling in. York was slamming him which is always a good sign. Slamming the guy filling in for a host nobody is listening to.
Wish WPRO would bring back Kass and put him on 3p-6p.

I gotta agree with you both.
I listened in AMAZEMENT to Dan Yorke going after Tony Farr.
First thing was Yorke outright LIED about the contant of Farrs show. Then Yorke going off the deep end with comments like ; " They pay him 5 bucks an hour". " The Peter Principal." " Amature hour."
I listened to Farrs whole show. He recieved around 50 calls. I'd say a good ten of them said they liked or loved him.
Yorke may get 15 callers, on a good day. He sure gets fewer compilments.
Farr had a caller who's child died from the Miningitis thats caused several of RIs schools to close.
One of the most compassionate calls i've EVER heard.
I think Yorke is in a word JEALOUS.
Yorke came off as pretty mean spirited. I wonder if Tony will retaliate tomorrow?

York went after Tony Far today, about the same way he used to go after JOHN DEPETRO.

Maybe Dan knows something about the latest future of hjj that we don't.
 
Only underdogs should acknowledge the competition on the air. At this moment in time Yorke is not a talk radio underdog. If I were a listener & heard him I'd sample the competition. Granted I might not stay with the competition but Yorke even talking about the competition is a bad move. I think he's good but he goes off the deep end too often & the screaming fits are not convincing,but we've talked about that habit before. For now he needs to pretend WHJJ doesn't exist. If & when DePetro arrives the two of them can show up at each others'remotes & snatch the mike. Then when Buddy arrives he can join the melee & attack someone with a lit cigarette.
 
Yorke gets more and more pompus all the time. He's a little to over confident in those shoes. I've started listening to other stations because I'm frankly sick of Yorke's attitude. He's against seniors calling in. He wants old people off the road. Yesterday he was bashing other talk show hosts and calling them Radio whores who work for $10 an hour.

He's becoming increasingly angry. Don't know what his problem is. Maybe he's having some problems at home and he's taking his frustration with him to work. Something weird is going on with him. He's pissed off way to often lately.

The idea of John De Petro returning to WHJJ may be on his mind.I think he was counting on winning by default but I wonder how many who listen to him do it to laugh at him.
 
I think it was horrible of Yorke to call Far a 'whore'. Depetro used the term 'fat lesbian' and was fired.
I think the berating words Dan used yesterday were much worse.

Honestly, I think Dan is a phony. Most days he is rude to his callers and audience
Far has a better show than Dan, just as Depetro did. He's a better'talk' show host.
Thats why Yorke attacked Far yesterday. Thats the way Danny boy operates.
Wait tell Matt Allen is up against him someday. The crap will really hit the fan!
 
I agree York seems way off and in a bad mood. He acts like he got some bad news about something. What would piss him off? Depetro did a week on WABC; WPRO will be part of ABC this year(o7); york is pissed and in a bad mood. HMMMM???? why would abc put depetro on in New York but not Providence? JD will land somewhere, and wonder if it will be on the trail....
 
I've always stated that I like Yorke as much as I dislike York. However that percentage is no longer split down the middle. The more Pompus Yorke gets, the more I don't like him. As it stands I only like him 40 percent of the time and it's becoming less and less every time I tune him in. I was only in the car for 10 Minutes yesterday. During that short 10 minute ride I heard Yorke launch his verbal attack on other talk show hosts. He really came off as an A-Hole
 
York just apoligized to Tony Farr on WPRO. I never heard him do that before.
Will SOMEBODY please tell me WHAT THE H E L L is going on?
 
Did you hear Yorke today re: the kid that shot at the car? He was superb. He's at his best when he's got something juicy to fire away at. Made a fool of the Johnston Police Dept.
What did he say about Farr? I guess I missed something.

Yesterday, I'm surprised he didn't lose his job.
 
The Shooting that involved the stepson of Ralph Mollis now the Secretary of State in RI. Happened in North Providence.Not Johnston. The gun was found submerged in a pond on the N.Prov/Providence line.
 
Truthandjustice.....I was talking about the prior incident that took place at the
Duncan Donuts in Johnston, where the kid took out a gun and pointed it at some guys. Dan had the Chief of Police in Johnston on and was interviewing him about
the incident. Real interesting interview. Dan at his best.
 
What was the context of Mr. Yorkes' apology to Tony Farr? I can't believe he admitted that he was out of line. Could somebody recap it?
 
Sure, I heard both of Dans shows. ( Theres nothing else on) .
On Thursday Dan attacked Tony. Like a madman. Several below the belt remarks.
Today , for I believe the first time ever, Dan made a radio apoligy,,, to Tony.
Said Tony was not at all a racist. Was a good man. He asked for Tony to forgive him, stuff like that.

I have no idea what is going on, but I heard Tonys shows on Thursday and today.
I thought they were very good. Good talk radio.
I think maybe this is one year ago that Dans Mother passed, maybe he needed to lash out on someone.
I've given up trying to figure any of this out.
