More changes coming at South Central

Word on the street is that former Oldies PD brad Jefferies, who was initially named PD for JACK-FM has been Jacked outta his job.

But the fun doesn't stop there. Big changes are coming at B97.5. Kristen from their morning show is getting married and moving to San Diego. Hearing that she is not looking for a radio gig out there.

Replacing her at B97.5 will be former Oldies morning host and Knoxville radio legend Ashley Adams. This sets up a morning show that will have the most combined experience in Knoxville radio. It also sets up failure because as one person put it, TK and Ashley are both "scorers" who each want the ball and don't look to pass. Despite them both being great talents and being great people, there's no way they'll be happy and successful sharing a booth.

Who keeps making these grand decisions. TK was fine doing a show by himself. He doesn't need a partner. And why do all morning shows have to be a team. I remember the years when a "GOOD" morning talent go do a show by themselves.

I know Jeff Jarnigan is over at South Central now, but I don't know how much authority and power he has. Is it possible that he could be making some of these decisions? I remember, he sent Journal crashing and burning before he left them.

Ashley had an iron-clad contract, so they were paying her anyway. They basically had to find a way to use her. But I really don't think this is the best situation for anyone.

By the way, I really, really appreciate the couple of nasty emails from South Central employees about posting this. You guys are the BEST!
