@Speakup - Collision never said anything about "bad radio". Just that it's "sad to see them becoming less local." That's true of ANY station. The magic of local radio has always been its intimacy, something you can't duplicate with a syndicated or recorded show. When you hear a voice on the radio you think, "he/she's been where I've been. We get stuck in the same traffic, shop at the same malls, cheer for the Buckeyes, know about City Center, have been to The Gallery Hop and the Arts Festival." It's more of a relationship than a form of entertainment or a source of information. You think, "He/She's like me!"
Maybe I'm not explaining it too well. I think it's one of those things that if you understand it, no explanation is necessary. If you don't, no explanation is possible.
