From my source. The O.M., Dre, p-t engineer, and a salesperson. They are also planning on blowing up the Keg and putting a new format on 98.3 to compete with The X. It's bizarre to me that Cumulus continues to try and take the fight to Butler when Clear Channel has all the shares in the market and just gets fatter. 92.1 got smacked around taking on The X several years ago. A monkey could figure out that they will end up with about the same or less share than what the Keg already has,(there are only 15 shares of rock in this market) and it is considerably a harder sell on the street to clients than Classic Rock. Want a better idea Cumulus? How about taking a word of advice from the baseball great Ted Williams and "hit'em where they ain't". Imagine a 15-30 minute segment of a station that plays Grateful Dead, Van Morrison etc.etc. mixed in with Cate Brothers, Nace Brothers or the countless others that sell out for Brian Crowne over at George's Majestic Lounge. THAT older demo here is not being served AT ALL musically. They and clients here would support that, believe me.
