More Cuts at Clear Channel

<Why is there so much hate for CC on this board. Didn't your parents teach you that "if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all">

It's because the Ultra Maroons who run this company, don't give a rats pituty about the people that work there. They just care about the money they make. Plus the way they do their ax cutting is inhumane.

The stories never end. A whole management team gets fired on a whim. They were called in to a management teleconference meeting. The phone rang. They put it on speaker. The CC big wig asks, "Is everyone present?" They say yes. The big wig walks into the station to the meeting room and fires all of them. He was waiting outside.

This actually happened to a friend of mine in the Delaware cluster. The station was doing gangbuster business. Great billing numbers. This is a tactic they use a lot. Once the station starts billing and making money, they fire all the higher priced managers and bring in people for less money to run the "already" successful station.

Still alive, breathing and happy at CC. I know that dissappoints many of you. Sorry about my absense....I just became bored with all the same people whining about the same topics. It's been an ugly year for Houston radio, but Clear Channel is putting up record #'s

I assume we'll have cuts just like all the other companies I've read about, but all I can do is stay focused, work hard, keep a positve attitude and hope for the best.

Merry Christmas and remember "Ya better watch out and ya better not pout, Santa's watching"
