Minneapolis-St. Paul with KSTC. The CW may not want them though because they do pre-empt a lot for local sports.

Kansas City

Jacksonville

Jacksonville is an interesting situation. I would guess the choice will be between Post-Newsweek's WJXT-4 and Media General's WJWB. I could see it go either way however isn't WJXT running news in primetime?

If WJXT picked up CW, it would be a big boost for the network. WJXT was picked up by some cable systems since it dropped CBS. It has always been on cable in Gainesville, where the WB is currently seen on cable-only WBFL (part of the WB 100+).

One market that comes to mind is Albany, Ga., with WSST Channel 55, an independent station that has not had WB or UPN, licensed to Cordele, Ga. They have a lot of local programming, but I don't know if they would take CW (there might also be WSWG 44 (UPN), licensed to Valdosta, but I believe serves the Albany market).

Somehow, I had the impression that CBS owned a sister to WCCO that they could put the CW on? right now, isn't the UPN affiliate a sister to KMSP Fox 9? I don't recall KMSP being owned by Fox?

KMSP was bought by FOX so that they could switch from WFTC 29 to KMSP 9 they own both stations.

I posted this a while back on the Georgia Radio Board...

The Albany Herald ran a article quoting the new GM of WSWG where he said they had a big power increase in their immediate future and expected to be the new home of CW for the Albany Market. Also, I believe WSST runs a fairly weak ota signal that would hold them down.
