More Departures from AZFamily

Just read a posting on TVSpy that said Olivia (Fierro), Claudia (Rivera), Ben (Lamoine?) and Ross (Buku Sports) are departing KTVK by their own choice. A Las Vegas paper had already reported that Olivia was joining the Fox station as anchor in April but what about the others. Will the last Family member please turn out the lights.

Maybe they need to get Miller and Alvidrez back to help right the ship.

Oh wait, they're owned by Belo now. Never mind.

How on earth are they going to produce the hours and hours of news with such a small staff?

The Place with LESS people :D

I heard Ross say that he was headed to San Diego?

Either way... AZ Family is showing signs that they may give up on news entirely. Oprah and Dr. Phil are going to get more expensive, leaving them with little-to-no decent prime-time programming. Kinda sad for there loyal viewers.

Does anyone have any insight on the news ratings? I wonder how their 9pm newscast is doing.

Also, GMAZ took a big hit -- losing Brad, DAn, and now Olivia. I always thought the GMAZ was KTVK's flagship news program. Will they replace these people or not?

I guess we're into the Local News 2.0 era!?! :(

If the cost of Oprah, Dr. Phil, The Drs. & Dr. Oz get too expensive then I think we will see more of those awesomely bad "Lifetime" leftover movies that they run on Saturday night switched to 7 nights a week and we might even get a double feature, hell yeah!!!! Pop me some popcorn cause I'm ready, how about you?

Belo should move the CW programming to KTVK and sell or kill KASW. I'm sure Daystar would be interested in having a full-powered station in Phoenix again.

A tad OT, but a search at TVSpy shows Gary Cruz from CBS5 is looking too.
Disregard above post

I posted before seeing the Gary Cruz retiring thread, accept my apologies for the oversight.
I found no way of deleting the post.

BUKU to San Diego

Royal Norman announced on Facebook that there will be a Going-Away party for Buku on April 18th, place TBD. Ross has taken a sports director position in San Diego (station not announced).
