Got another weird one.....
Relocated my big VHF/UHF outside antenna over the weekend to place it higher up on the roof (2 story house) and it seemed to improve the signal strength of every local station....in the morning. As soon as the sun climbs directly overhead (or as overhead as it gets during this time of the year) RF27 disappears almost totally. I still get a signal but it is not strong enough to display even a broken picture. All other stations are seemingly unaffected.
Now, while all this is taking place up on the roof my inside loop/ears still work fine. This antenna connects to my PC and is located on the first floor, behind a wall (stucco over wood frame with vapor barrier) and shoots through a large pine tree towards the towers. It does not seem to be affected by the sun's location.
It will be interesting to see what happens when the sun goes down tonight.
I wish I'd paid more attention in Antenna 101. ???
