More E-skip of KEOM

A Listener reported reception of KEOM on Wednesday, June 15th, during the daytime (exact time of day was not given). Person was driving along US41 in Venice, Florida. Listener states standard bare bones AM/FM car stereo was used, with no signal amp. Person was trying to receive WMNF 88.5 FM out of Tampa (close to the far end of the station’s range). Listener stated KEOM was overpowering WMNF.

Robert,
A couple of years ago, a friend of mine heard KEOM loud and clear for more than a few minutes in Pittsburgh, Pa. I'm not sure if you were aware of that one..

Skipping :) slightly off topic from the tropics, John's
followup made me think of the number of people with Pittsburgh
connections in D/FW broadcasting is considerable (and it
didn't all start when Chuck Brinkman came to town).

Back in 87 or 88, at one of the preason games at Texas Stadium
when the Stillers came to tahn, Mellon Bank (of Pittsburgh)
actually had a large hospitality tent set up in the parking
lot because so many of their tri-state area customers had
relocated here.

It wouldn't be too far of a stretch to guess that Chuck has
probably cumed more 'Burghers here on KLUV than he he did
while at KQV! :)

Likewise, he has consumed more burgers here. Lots more.

BTW, (REALLY off topic!)
Those who may have followed the Stillers' broadcasts over the years will be saddened to hear that Myron Cope, the inventor of the Terrible Towel, has retired after 35 seasons on the broadcasts. He is and has been in ill health over the past several years. Double YOI!

Chuck Brinkman's diet

Come on John. Come on.

And he does mention KQV, so it's radio related :).

It's obvious he hasn't been snacking on Slim Fast bars all these years.

Or maybe Slim Fast doesn't work :).

Uummm...I think John was starting a story - as in by the way, really off the previous topic, yada, yada, yada... I don't think he was saying anyone was "off of the topic" especially as the topic was never Brinkman's diet.
