Except for the morning yakfests (Today, et al) which are delayed an hour.
And don't forget every Thanksgiving, where the Macy's parade on NBC is live
only in the...all in unison...Eastern Time Zone! NBC insists it air 9 AM-12 PM
everywhere. Years ago I could watch it live at 7 AM Mountain; I think it was
live then everywhere except the left coast. BTW, IIRC from last November,
the CBS parades are still live in Central and Mountain.
Yeah, I was primarily referring to prime time, but thanks.oldiesfan6479 said:Except for the morning yakfests (Today, et al) which are delayed an hour.firepoint525 said:I would say that those of us in the central time zone have it the best. Remember back when Miss America still mattered? NBC carried it live from coast-to-coast, which meant from 8:00-11:00 p.m. central time. And don't forget every Thanksgiving, where the Macy's parade on NBC is live

Now even TLC (where it has aired for the past few years) doesn't want it any more.
Not meaning to send this thread off-topic, but does anyone remember when/why/how/where/whatever Miss America got moved from September (usually the Saturday evening after Labor Day, if I recall) to January? Did some previous Miss America have a 15-month reign? Maybe that was to compensate for the short reign of Vanessa Williams! ;DMario-500 said:The Learning Channel (TLC) wanted a new and less expensive deal to present the event for two more years instead of the option for three more years as part of the previous deal, but Sam Haskell, the chairman of the Miss America Organization, did not accept the new deal. Here is a link to the rest of the story:MarcB said:Now even TLC (where it has aired for the past few years) doesn't want it any more.firepoint525 said:Remember back when Miss America still mattered?
