More Jack Propaganda

Fox 4 did a story on Jack.

Among the fallacies:
1) Kurt has a brain that he's used masterfully to be the king of the format.

2) Dallas is the birthing ground of Jack.
(Umm maybe Cadillac Jack and the folks in Denver, where the 1st Jack in the US debuted have something to say about that)

Showed Johnson shadowing the board op. Not quite sure who was the student and who was the teacher though.

Re: More Jack Propaganda *EDIT*

Yeah, I was very dissapointed in the reporting on that story...

Of course, it did make me laugh... When the jock chick said that "if you bring something special, you'll make a place for yourself..."

I turned to the wife and said, "Y'know, if that were true, I'd still be in radio..."

*EDIT*

Y'know, after I think about it more, that "news story" had a "live spot" kinda feel to it. I now advance the theory that Fox4 took cash to do that story on JackFM. That way, Jack gets advertising in on people with DVR's.

*END EDIT*

Why did he interview Jennifer Reed for the rebuttal? The Bone isn't exactly a ratings juggarnaut.

That's a very serious accusation. I hope you have something more than a guess or theory to back that up.

It looked to me like the reporter thought this was a story because the format had been created here, when in fact it was not. It was thin on substance and long on time.

It is a very serious accusation if it turns out that my theory is - in fact - a fact. It would be very easy for any reporter to find out where the format started, especially when you are interviewing the PD for the station. Unless Kurt flat-out lied, then it was either EXTREMELY shoddy reporting, or it was an extended live spot with bad audio.

Like I said, it's just my theory. I have not yet proven my theory...<P ID="signature">______________
