More L.A. Broadcast History At Risk

Tribune wants to sell the Sunset lot that's been home to KTLA for more than 50 years...and is the last broadcast station in Hollywood.

This would be sad. What about the building named for Stan Chambers and the Hal Fishman news room? Wonder what their reason is for wanting to sell and move? Just trying to keep up with CBS & ABC, Fox etc?

A few years back I had the privilege of touring KTLA. For the sake of history, it is an amazing facility. For the purposes of 21st century television broadcasting, it's just about the last place on earth you'd want to choose. Vinnie Malcolm is right -- the station does need a new home, in spite of the tradition of those ten acres on Sunset.
