More local Talk on 600 WICC

Well, Dream Doctor ended and that was on from 9-12. And the new local host is a familiar name, face and voice David Smith (WNLK, Cablevision News 12). By the way I did some volunteer work with Cablevision in 1995--I helped David Smith out along with Rebecca Surran on The Exchange--ironically the name of the program on WICC.
David Smith is the real deal--a wonderful gentleman. I think he'll fit in well at WICC. This is how a station should run--a good amount of local programs--which includes Main Street WICC, which starts at 7:00 and goes to 9:00PM. When 'ICC was airing Clark Howard 1-4, it sounded to me like a clone of WSTC/WNLK. This move gives 600 its own identity, kind of like the days of Tiny Markle.

Also they have added new national talk with Monica Crowley and Phil Valentine Saturdays--1:00-4:00 Monica Crowley; 4:00-7:00 Valentine. Now people in Bridgeport can also hear Crowley on WABC should there be any sporting events on WICC--UCONN, Yankees.
