More Management Changes at WCWG-TV

Another manager at WCWG-TV bites the dust. The Promotion Manager is the latest in the revolving door at Greensboro's CW network affiliate. In the past year, the station's GM has replaced, removed or simply forced out the entire management staff, save one person.
- Two Traffic Managers
- Two Business Managers
- Local Sales Manager
- Chief Engineer
- Promotions Manager
- National Sales Manager

It all started over a year ago, when the former GM was replaced for apparently having better relations with the station owner than the Chief Operating Officer. It's a shame to see as I worked there until recently. The station was constantly a Top Performer with the WB Network, out-performing most WB stations in the country. Now the station appears to be spiraling down, out of control.

It's a shame, because, there was so much potential there. Now, it's all been wasted and the opportunities to restore the once proud station have been lost to time and technology.

Once again...bad management is allowed to ruin a good thing. I don't know when corporations are going to wake up and start paying attention to the way their people are managed! Bad management can drive a property into the ground!

This is fun. I'm a member of the CW message boards, and we've had a lot of bad things to say about the change. We mostly wish they had left the network alone because it's sure not doing any better.

I thought at least things were going well for the affiliate.

Will these changes mean we no longer have to listen to "Everybody Wants You" by Damone?
