Nickelback - Savin' Me

In my opinion, Nickelback's best song to date.

Fray - Over My Head

A very good song, a hint Hot AC is taking over Pop.

Matisyahu - King Without The Crown

Very good but I'm not even near sure how this picked up on this format.

Kanye West - Touch The Sky

Haven't heard it

Switchfoot - We Are One Tonight

Havent heard it

Dem Franchise Boyz - Lean Wit Rock Wit It Roll Wit It

More distracting rap.

Nick Lachey - What's Left Of Me

Haven't heard it but the title hints that it might be a break-up song, if it's about Jessica I'll gag the first time I hear it.

Hoobastank - If I Were You

Haven't heard it but I like most of Hoobastank's stuff.

Fall Out Boy - A Little Less 16 Candles, A Little More Touch Me

Hmmm...7 Minutes In Heaven is a whole lot better...it will probably be a 4th single since their two singles & these two are truly the only worthy tracks on the album imo.

Pop looking a little better. Maybe becuase it's almost spring (aka Pop's best season)?

Nickelback - Savin' Me

Smash hit, which is saying something, because I can not stand Nickelback and their formula rock drivel.

Fray - Over My Head

Stiff.

Matisyahu - King Without The Crown

Stiff.

Kanye West - Touch The Sky

Smash hit. Give it about two or three weeks and this will be all over the place. Very uptempo, fun, dancy record. Will rival Gold Digger eventually for success.

Switchfoot - We Are One Tonight

Stars was better.

Dem Franchise Boyz - Lean Wit Rock Wit It Roll Wit It

Awful, disgusting, drivel.

Nick Lachey - What's Left Of Me

Oh... my... gawd. Nick, give it up already.

Hoobastank - If I Were You

Haven't heard it yet, but I'm looking forward to hearing it.

Fall Out Boy - A Little Less 16 Candles, A Little More Touch

Too early. Dance, Dance still has a ton of legs.

More songs to consider:

Rihanna- SOS (Rescue Me)
Sean Paul- Temperature
Chamillionaire / Lil Flip- Turn It Up (Yes, it's been out a quick minute, but CHR is just now starting to touch it)
D.H.T.- Someone (I like the fast version of this song and would love to see CHR pick it up... but with Cascada doing very well at the moment, I question if there is room for this song right now)

Better then Photograph.

Hot AC. AAA. Alternative. Rock friendly CHR. Its pretty popular in Milwaukee (WMYX Hot AC and WLUM Alternative are all over it) but I know for sure WXSS won't lay a hand on it.

I like the live version best. The album version doesn't have as much energy to it. VERY good song though.

Average Switchfoot. Meant To Live was by far their best. Rock friendly CHR only.

WXSS will be all over this. Trash IMO.

Spring-Summer is usually always pops best season.

However CHR hasn't been REALLY GOOD since fall 2001. Summer 2004 was an improvement but it went right back down.

Howie Day - Collide was probably one of the best summer hits of 2005. Sadly enough, Summer 2004 was responsible for it.

I am noticing songs like Better Than Ezra - A Lifetime and others that were recorded and released years ago getting airplay on pop these days as new songs. I can understand why. It's not very common but it is happening.<P ID="signature">______________

> Nickelback - Savin' Me

To me, this sounds like a reduced mix of How You Remind Me/Someday with strings added. Paper goes in the green bin, cans in the yellow bin, Nickelback songs in the red one, and so on.

> Matisyahu - King Without The Crown

KSMB/Lafayette just added it, even with the local Modern Rocker completely avoiding it. Awesome track, but unfortunately, I don't think it will play well at CHR - or CHR/Rhythmic for that matter. Not really "mass appeal" enough, IMO. Check out the live version (which most Alternative stations played) off of Live at Stubbs.

Someone brought up Rhiana's SOS (Rescue Me) later on in the thread, and I am really liking this one, much better than Pon De Replay, which I couldn't really stand in the first place. I like the faint male background vocals on the chorus, which plays well with the "Tainted Love" sample. It kind of reminds me of the band Squeeze.

> Nickelback - Savin' Me

Sounds like a better track than the other two.

> Fray - Over My Head

Awesome track

> Matisyahu - King Without The Crown

I hope this gets picked up. It's awesome.

> Kanye West - Touch The Sky

A better track than Gold Digger.

> Switchfoot - We Are One Tonight

I can see a huge hit with this song.

> Dem Franchise Boyz - Lean Wit Rock Wit It Roll Wit It

Too rap-ish but I think it's great.

*pukes*

> Hoobastank - If I Were You

You will love it. I just heard it this week and think this will be as huge as The Reason.

Haven't heard it yet. Still dance, dancing Dance, Dance. lol
