As expected, Barry Young announced this morning that he'll be adding the 7 o'clock hour to his shift beginning Tuesday, September 8th. Love Barry's point of view, so am pleased with the addition. I wonder if this means Broomhead will keep the 5 to 7 shift permanently?

This should have happened a long long long time ago!
I'm glad it finally happened, but as a dj and a huge fan of rhythmic radio and mixshows, I must say there are certain other stations on the fm taking away from the attention I've been giving to Barry Young at the moment.

Barry Young used to do 3 hr. shows years ago. You're right, KDM, a lot of the FM music is sounding better and better, Even stodgy ol' 95.5, which is all we can listen to at work, has added some hiphoppy and R and B type stuff. They played "A Change is Gonna Come" ( a new version) this morning!

Nice thing about the Nearly Bald One is he keeps up with current events. It's just the fake studio audience sfx that's dated. But hey, it works for him and the Mrs Nearly Bald One!

Speaking of keeping up with current events, I've been catching Glenn Beck's weekend show after Jay Lawrence's. He and his sidekkicks did a takeoff on NPR's "All Things Considered" coverage of the Kennedy funeral that was a scream. Very funny guy.

Corretamundo, Ms Wacki....your insightful observations are why your lectures at the Buckeye Media Hut are so popular with the students! Glenn Beck's FOX show is on fire and KT'R keeps missing the boat by not moving him up to 9am, but that's a different topic. As Nurse Czarina Jeff and I have said for over three years now, KFWhyEye should be on FM where the Nearly Bald One would kick even more a** against KT'R!
