More On-Air Battling; Star vs. Miss Jones

From David Hinckley of The Daily News:

"Star of WWPR and Miss Jones of WQHT resumed their war of insults yesterday, spurred by a brief confrontation between Star and the manager of rapper Ne-Yo. Miss Jones said the manager slapped Star, who didn't retaliate, and called it a 'smackdown'." "If someone is missing a right handprint, it's on the side of Star's face," said Jones.
"Star said there was no slap, that the manager 'just pushed me with his fat stomach.' Star then encouraged listeners to submit outrageous rumors, saying it was good publicity for him."

- I personally think Star is 100% right, it is good publicity for him. But either way we will probably never know what really happened.

First it was rappers and their entourage taking rivalries too far (Tupac, Biggie), maybe Urban radio is heading in the same direction.
