More on Scotto's vandalized Wiki entry

http://www.bostonherald.com/news/regional/general/view.bg?articleid=1038338

"A former WRKO radio host says he’s keeping his “legal options open” after someone at his former station allegedly maligned his Wikipedia entry by adding that he was “heavy into Satan worship” and “enjoys sex with wild pigs...
When Miller left the station, he said he and Entercom executives signed a non-disparagement agreement. “We’re both bound by this mutal non-disparagement clause that prevents us from slinging mud at each other,” Miller said, “and I’ve lived by that.”

George Regan, PR flack for Entercom, said "we're not going to get involved".
What wonderful people to work for. Howie should be glad he could be getting back in there
(/ sarcasm )

I've come to believe that the people inside the walls of Entercom are a few french fries shy of a Happy Meal. But slandering someone while leaving electronic breadcrumbs that lead right to your door means that they must also be shy of the McNuggets, the drink AND the toy. Talk about a collection of Jerry's Kids.

Yes and this after they agreed with Scotto on a non-disparagement clause. As Scotto pointed out
these false accusations show up when people Google his name now. It makes Entercom look very bad.

What Miller should do it forget about it and get on with his life. The entry was so over-the-top as to be meaningless, and obviously wouldn't have any influence on future employment opportunities. Why he would want to get into a pissing contest over something so trivial, and make himself radioactive to potential employers, is just beyond imagining.

My gawd, but this board is populated by folks who don't understand how the real world operates. Wasn't this the place where all of Carr's 'indentured servitude' legal arguments looked just about bulletproof? Remember? Kahn was going to be lucky to stay out of jail after Howie and Bret got through with her in court! Where people actually think that money-match contract provisions include on which band a show is broadcast, or how often you can lose your last half hour to the Sox?

And now you want to cheerlead Miller going after WRKO ? Good move..."Now, Mr. Miller, will you explain to the court how a specious Wiki entry discussing your predilection for ritual goat sacrifice hurt your career." I guess that sounds pretty convincing, especially when it's not your career about to be flushed down the legal toilet.

Entercom Derangement Syndrome has already lead to the self-immolation of a major talent, who for some reason thought turning a contract dispute into a personal grudge match was a good idea. You'd think Miller would know better, and I bet he does.

Regards,
TSB
