WWRK (Rock 102.9) flips to "The Pee Dee's Classic Hits - 102.9 The Point". Seems so far they are going jockless.

From what I had the chance to hear it will not be a big loss for the pee dee... Another company that seems to do the format of the moth for 102.9

Looks like it's back to listening to WKZQ 101.7 in Myrtle Beach when I'm in Florence.

What a trade off! Qantum & Next both have done a job on most of their stations along the east coast and it ain't pretty.

Back when Atlantic then Root owned what was sunny 102.9 then jammin' oldies atleast they sounded good... From what I heard last summer when I was down south all of the Quantum properties sounded like college radio... Atleast with the cloud company there jocks sounded pretty tight... I could not say that for any of the Quantum stations... CC

Boy, that's a heck of a condemnation of local management. Compared to the cheapskate Root CEO, the guys at Qantum throw money around like Arab Sheiks.

They may throw it around, but it is not in a quality airstaff... CC

Hmm. So which stations were you listening to? Myrtle Beach? Florence?

Despite their recent changes, the stations I have heard (Mix at the Beach, Eagle from Florence, 103X) sounded pretty tight. Haven't really listened to the others much.

Hey Nip... It was the Flotown cluster... Like you said for the most part the Quantum cluster at MB sounded pretty solid... Mix by far sounds a lot better than CHR counterpart 103X... I could not tell if 102.9 was active, classic rock or alternative... The rock mix was just not good... Eagle sounded pretty good and was really upbeat which I will say sounded a lot better than when Root was owner... CC
