More Texas music in San antonio will that work?

Wonder how would more Texas music would work in SA? Kvet is number one in Austin, think it is doing very well with what they are doing, I know Kj plays some Texas music, but wish there was more.

I can sometimes get in knbt, new braunfels. that's the closest you can get.
I don't think san antonio is as "americana" oriented as austin. it's a much bigger city... which drifts more to the traditional formats... rock/rap/chr/country.

I think Texas music is one of the last "free" forms of music left in this country. If radio would wake up and get with it the Texas pride would flow. Nashville and LA have created such a cookie cutter style that everything is watered down crap..TIm Mcgraw, Kenny Chesney..CRAP..no soul, emotion. Brandon Rhyder, Randy Rogers, Roger Creager, Jason Boland, Walt Wilkins, Jack Ingram, Starkey Johnson band..that is real..that is soul..that is TEXAS. Wake UP radio..lets do this.

I'm surprised nobody has tried it in San Antonio. There really is some good talent in the TExas pool...But also some that are just singing about Lone Star Beer and BBQ...With Gruene Hall, Helotes, Schroeder Hall and lots of the places these guys play in or near San Antonio, it would make sense. A station witha good mix of the NAshville and the TExas acts would fly...Dallas does it and they are lil bigger than San Antonio...
