More troubles playing mp3s with winamp

While WMA has a very easy way to shuffle songs, and make one song play after another, It still wont play every mp3, While Winamp plays all of them, it will only play one song at a time. I have my music stored under my music, in My documents, do I need to put them somewhere else in order to setup a continuous playlist on Winamp? And By the way, SAM, what did you mean by the 123 button on Winamp? I still havent figured that out, and when I click Open playlist, It only lists my saved Radio stations, and not the mp3 titles.

First, you're wasting your time. Get real automation software.

Second, the random button is on the right directly under the loop button. The loop is a circle with an arrow and the random button has "1 2 3" on it.

Third, WMP does not play certain MP3s--especially those from TM Century. In fact, I can't get any TM Century song I download to play across the network when it's in the My Music folder (works fine if I move it to another share)...must be embedded DRM.

Fourth, when you want to save the playlist, go to 'manage playlist' and choose 'save playlist'. It will save it with an m3u extension and Winamp opens those files by default.
______________

I agree with Sam. Either spend some $$ on SAM, OR if you have no money to spend (like me), become a beta tester for DirEttore at www.mixtime.com. Very nicely equipped, free (for the time being), and does the job.

Thanks again SAM, I will try what you said to do with Winamp. Anyway,. I am only using mp3 players for a temporary stream test. I will probaBLY go with (SAM) software, like everyone else uses, because a playlist on shuffle mode, doesnt know what songs go good together, I need a good consistent Mix of music, especially if I mix together various Genres, like Rock, POP, and Dance, There is nothing to keep Winamp or WMA, from playing 3 songs in a rowe by the same artist, or play 10 rap songs, and 1 dance song, and 6 rock songs, You know what I mean. Why can I only get enough slots for 7 people at 128k, not that I am going to need any more slots for a while, but How does that work?

Bandwidth usage is calculated as follows: 136 * listeners / 1024 = Mb/s. 7 people is just under 1Mb/s.

I use 136 because it's closer to the actual throughput (protocol overhead + meta data).
______________
