More WCVB Blackouts for Canadian subscribers

I noticed lately on my Bell TV guide more syndicated and news programming on WCVB blacked out in favor of more infomercials. I don't know how long this has been going on Saturday and Sunday nights, but I did tape a late night Saturday edition of Newscenter 5 on May 28, just over a month ago, while the Bruins were in the middle of their Cup run.

Tonight's listings has 6 straight hours of infomercials from 11 pm to 5 am Sunday morning, and if you think that's bad enough, more infomercials on Sunday night from 11 pm to 4:30 am, also blacking out ABC's early morning newscast. This is getting disturbing if you have WCVB on cable and/or satellite on the Canadian side of the border. And that's on top of other blacked out programming which means no Nate Berkus at 10 am, no noon news, no Millionaire, and anything else that would otherwise be showing normal syndicated stuff.

I don't know who's been issuing the blackouts, but it's getting out of control.

Does any prime time ABC programming get blacked out on WCVB in your Canadian area? Or is it just syndicated and news programs?

On the subject of blackouts my mom has COX Cable and doesn't use a Cable Box. She has an HDTV and gets WGGB ABC 40 on Channel 77-something (BTW COX doesn't carry WGGB on the Meriden system) and all of ABC 40's syndicated programming and their news airs in-tact, but all the network shows i.e. GMA, The View, the soaps, etc are covered up with local News 8 WTNH.
