WEXC lives on, "Good Time Oldies WEXC 107" is now being broadcast on WLOA AM 1470.
This fits into the strange but true category, they are identifing the station as WEXC 107. I'm not getting a signal on WGRP AM 940 to see if WEXC is on there too. I haven't been able to get WGRP for the past couple of days. Does any on know if they are on the air?

Supposedly they are in the process of being sold...some kind of mess surrounding that.

And we have a winner...WLOA/1470 is being sold to Beacon Broadcasting, the company Harold Glunt is taking over.

The question - which I also asked on OMW - is this the future home of the WEXC oldies format, or is it just temporary pending another Glunt format change to some sort of religious format?

Heard anything about WGRP AM 940 in Greenville? It's off the air. I was in Greenville today, and there is nothing but dead air at 940 AM.
