More WOAI Changes

I assume this is new because it's not on AllAccess today.... If this is not new, I apologize....

Out at WOAI: David Chancellor and the Thompson Brothers (Jason & Rob)

New Lineup
5a-9a SAFN with Charlie Parker (isn't this Charlie's 2nd or 3rd stint hosting SAFN?)
9a-11a Glenn Beck
11a-2p Rush
2p-5p Hannity
5p-8p Joe Pags (moves from SAFN and both of his Texas shows [KTRH] are now straight talk shows)
8p-11p Dennis Miller (tape delayed from 9a-12p)
11p-4a Coast to Coast AM
4a-5a Wall Street Journal This Morning

Wow, that's quite a surprise. And with this move, another 15 hours a week of local talk gets replaced by syndicated fare from elsewhere.

With the impending divorce of WOAI radio and TV, the need for synergy falls by the wayside, so Chance loses his radio gig.

I'm wondering if the move of Pags off of SAFN has more to do with ratings or Pags' future plans that might not involve WOAI. Considering how often he pops up as a sub host on CNN, I suspect his career trajectory may be heading back to TV.

The Thompsons filled in for JT the Brick on FSR a couple of days ago. Don't they also have a weekly Fantasy Football show on FSR?

I have never seen a talk station that makes SO MANY changes! It's amazing WOAI has not tanked in the ratings, they must be kissing Rush's feet everyday. So sad to lose more local flavor for the almighty buck.

Seems like the heritage NT is going more to a cookie-cutter station, relying mostly on syndicated shows.

I remember when the station had more great local hosts.

not a surprise since CC corp is located in town and Mr. Hogan listens to that station every single day.

The Twins left on their own accord...and thats a fact. Keep speculating.

During the same week, CC Director of Sales, Mike Mc Donald, was pushed out to a Sales Managers position in Austin and WOAI's Sales Manager was fired. I heard the Thompson's were to move to their old spot on KTKR and decided to go a different directon.
