More WX Changes - Todd Johnson Leaves KOMO

The caption to the farewell video says Todd elected not to sign a new contract. I bet it was significantly smaller than his previous one to go along with his reduced duties since Jim Castillo showed up.

KOMO is losing a huge talent. I've thought for years that Todd was one of, if not the, clearest and most understandable weathermen in the market. His presentation was easy to understand, and full of detail without being overkill. Castillo, on the other hand, is unwatchable. His voice is terrible, and his presentation is basic and full of big pauses. Castillo is the male version of Rebecca Stevenson - young and good looking, but without presentation skills. And his radio forecasts for KOMO1000 are incomprehensible.

Here's hoping Todd resurfaces somewhere else...
 
Todd has the same problem as Andy Wappler - a technically competent and articulate weathercaster with zero "sizzle". To KOMO's credit, they tried developing that with Todd after his demotion from mornings, but it just didn't work. At least he's going out on his own terms.
