Actor Morgan Freeman’s 33-year-old step-granddaughter was stabbed to death in New York City, according to People.com

E’Dena Hines was found stabbed to death outside her apartment and was pronounced dead at a hospital in Harlem.

NYPD said a 30-year-old man was taken into custody and then taken to a nearby hospital as well.

Hines was the granddaughter of Freeman’s first wife. The couple divorced in 1979.
