Morgan White Jr ? (also?)

Personally, I Morgan White, Jr. may very well get a lot of fill-in work this Summer.

I wouldn't be surprised if WBZ-1030 gives Steve LeVeille every Thursday night/Friday morning off during July and August; and likewise give Dan Rea every Friday night off during those months as well, putting both on four-day workweeks for the Summer.

Should that occur, White will probably get to be LeVeille's regular substitute on Thursday nights/Friday mornings, and Bradley Jay would likely be Rea's substitute on Friday nights.

(In fact, were I the program director of WBZ, I would give Rea and LeVeille four-day workweeks during the Summer. They deserve it!)

Why do they deserve it? Are they really working hard?. I wish I could get paid to do am overnight open line show 5 hours a day. I would do it 6 nights a week.

I tuned into Bradley J Sunday night and stayed listening for longer than usual because he was starting to talk about a topic I am interested in. Train travel. Man is he bad. He started to talk about his train trip to California and I had to turn it off after 10 minutes.

I was also at an event recently where he was interviewing people for his Jay Talking video blog. He had to bully people into talking to him. The guy has zero personality. Just my opinion

He is bad, lol, His style is so goofy, sort of rambling, getting sidetracked into other areas when a caller starts talking about another topic. I don't mean normal conversational banter, but rather going off in an extreme direction.

Me thinks there was a lot of recreational use of various substances by the aforementioned in his earlier days, rendering his brain less than "functional".

You would *think* 'BZ would have more class than that, but I guess they don't wanna spend a lot of money for talent. ::)

Oh for the days of Larry Glick... :)

Thank God for mp3 players & podcasts, a refreshing alternative to radio...

There has to be better hosts to have fill in than Morgan and Bradley. My gosh, they're both train wrecks. My question: other than these two who would you have fill in? Aren't there some decent talk show hosts in Boston that aren't on the air that would like to fill in from time to time.

I'm a regular listener of Steve's, but haven't had BZ on for about a week. I won't be tuning back in until Steve comes back from vacation.

they had a new guy filling in this week a guy named Dean Johnson who i think was the heralds radio reporter at one time.

There is certainly a shortage of good fill in talent available. I think one of the problems is there are fewer and fewer smaller suburban stations where someone can develop their talent. Jordan Rich and Paul Sullivan for example, started out doing talk at WLLH in Lowell. WCCM provided BZ with Dennis Burke and Lou Marcelle. Worcester used to be a good farm system for Boston talk stations. Also. with more and more infomercials running on weekends there is less of an opportunity for someone to get major market experience.

It is not that hard to find someone political or legal knowledge to fill in on an issue oriented show. Finding someone who can do compelling general interest radio is a lot tougher.

Pat Desmaras sp? is a good sub. WTTK found a lawyer named Josh Davis who does a nice job filling in. I can't take more than 10 minutes of Bradley J and Morgan

Nothing more than my 2 cents
