Morning drive

On my occasional morning drive I usually have it on WSB-AM because I like the news. But recently I found myself switching over to 90.1 because I'm so sick of the ENDLESS commercials and stopsets on 750. I notice we NEVER mention WABE on this board. Anyone else ever listen? Any thoughts on their live local programming?

Lois Reitzes is actually one of my favorite Atlanta radio talents. Having listened to classical music DJs from all over the country, I think she stands out in terms of knowledge and personality.

Funny you should mention that - I just added WABE to my presets (in between X and Buzz). My radio won't automatically filter out Nirvana or Pearl Jam so I listen to something a little different. I just looked on WABE's website and I didn't see Bach's Lunch (?) listed. I thought that was regularly scheduled during the lunch hour.... but instead I see Second Cup Concert. Am I going to have to live without my Baroque orchestra pieces? *sniffle*

geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeegolly.

I listen to WSB for about 15-20 minutes each morning to get the news important to Atlanta. I get up about 6:00 AM and by 6:20, I no longer need to listen because WSB essentially repeats the same things over and over again until their morning talk show at 8:30.

Like you, I switch over to 90.1 for the rest of the morning drive unless a particular story is boring and my trigger finger gets itchy.
