If you think you can do a better job then put in for an audition. I bet you'd pee your pants if they put a live mike in front of your rude face.

[EDIT-inflammatory]

Bob O I could Run circles around Ace. Last time I was live I did not PEE on myself.

But I do have to say I LOVE you Bob You Rock...

Well.....maybe I was a bit harsh. However, you've touched upon the real problem. Everything is voice-tracked, it seems. When we do get somebody like Ace with the potential to grow, he never gets the opportunity to gain true on air experience. Voice-tracking just isn't the same as ON AIR EXPERIENCE!

To conclude, it doesn't matter if you can run circles around Ace. He's there and you're not. AND STAY OUT OF WOOLWORTHS!

Bob-you were great on 99.5. Too bad you left. Did you ever work for KBEZ?

There are several good radio people in this town. Tulsa radio has always had good talent that don't want to leave. Some of the people that we hear everyday are better than people in the major markets. They just seem happy to stay here.

I hope you come back to radio Bob. Maybe someone will have the sense to hire you back.

Yes, I worked for 92.9 KBEZ for a number of years under two different formats. Easy Listening elevator music everyone made fun of and Soft A/C, which is now the current format. I loved my time there. I worked for so many owners I never new who my paycheck was coming from.

Easy Listening was always #1 in all the important demos when KBEZ had that format in the 80's. Truly amazing. Dick Loftin did Afternoon Drive and if I'm not mistakedn, he also did Mornig Drive with Ann Richards or Richardson for a while.

Thanks for listening,
Bob O'Shea
