Morning Mess Vacation

Does anyone know who will be filling in for Marco, Shannon and Super Phat Mikey during their vacation starting tomorrow? (I guess the spring book ends today.)
 
I wish someone would reconsider 'morning mess' as a show name

Glad you brought that up. I think it is a terrible name from a marketing standpoint. Why would you purposely say your show is a mess to disaster? Why would any one listen? But Neil, you may say, what about The Rude Awakening? The host’s “name” is Rude, thus the show name. While the show is lacking, “Mayhem in the AM” is not a bad name. It implies craziness or buffoonery, which is something you want in the morning. When I think of “Morning Mess” I think of: dirty bathroom with towels everywhere, dishes piled high in the kitchen, kids running around half-naked as the bus pulls up to the house. Those are not good images. Here’s a free one, call the Show S & M in the Morning for Shannon and Marco. It sounds kinky and listening can be painful!

Rob and Chris could intro "Best Of" bits, but Marco already does that with the prank calls, and Mikey with his restaurant reveiws. It will be just like any other day, but hopefully less clapping. I guess.
 
How nice of Star 94 to let the Morning mess be on vacation the week Steve and Vikki starts. Is that just crazy or is it me?
I guess they don't feel they are any competition?

I'm pretty sure what's going on is the Mess had in their contracts that they couldn't take a vacation during an Arbitron survey period. The spring survey period ends today.

When I lived in NY, I remember the day after the survey ended, it seemed like every morning man was on vacation.

The vacations must have been agreed to way before Steve & Vikki signed with B98.5.

I was thinking if Star had Cindy & Ray fill in, it would actually give Steve & Vikki more competition than The Morning Mess.
 
Thats a god thought on C n R. I assume TRG will be off a bunch this month they have not been off since their premiere,
 
I spoke with Shaughnessy in promotions at Star 94. Yes, the Morning Mess had this vacation coming long before Steve & Vikki's move to B98.5 was announced. And Alan Smith will probably host a "best of the Morning Mess" next week while Steve & Vikki launch their new life at B98.5 on Tuesday.

Not sure what B98.5 will do on Monday since Friday is the last day for Kelly & Alpha.

Perhaps Kate McCarthy from sister station The River can fill-in for a morning to cross-promote her show. Or let Jordan Graye host Monday morning and have Kate fill-in for her.
