As someone who actually knows of the T-Man show quite well all i will say is you all wil be amazed as to what he'll be bringing to your city.
word in the industry is that this man has turned down offers from newyork and L.A. numerous times because he is from seattle and refuses to leave.
finally a major market couldn't let his talent be wasted on just seattle and is sacrificing locality for top flight talent.
think about it, how often do you see a mid market show piped into a top 5 market...maybe there's something to this show?.....you will see.

He is not local!!!!! plain and simple!! I could see if this is market 50 but come on SF is in the top 5!!!

I didn't hear the dog house too much but when I heard how/why they got fired then I rallied n their side. One thing about Strawberry when I heard their show their prank calls where replayed within the hour....Now thats stupid! with traffic in the bay area getting worse and it taking someone two hors to commute they listen for yjr 2 hours. PLAY NEW BITS!!!

You're right, he is NOT local. And as a programmer, I am all about the local! But seriously, give T-man a chance, you will be impressed. Just the amount of time they have put into this, the least you can do is give him a chance.

It's not like they are just piping him in, they have spent A LOT of time to make sure this succeeds, in fact, the entire staff of the T-man show is in San Francisco right now (and have been since Friday), and they will be doing The T-Man show from the Wild studios for a couple weeks, so for the next couple weeks, he IS local.

But I am looking forward to pulling up this board at 10:01am Monday morning to see what everyone has to say.

What does local have to do with any of this? If he is entertaining, and the audience likes him, he'll have success. If not, so be it. Some of the most successful talent in the industry are/were syndicated.

Listeners want to be entertained, and if someone 500 miles away can do that, great!

We'll just all have to wait and see.

It has to do with being interactive. The best thing with the doghouse was when they were out at the clubs, comedy jams, also doing charity work like walking from SJ to SF. Strawberry also had a lot of local content. Also calling in and talking to the hosts, when Stern was on I never heard a bay area caller, even Adam Corolla (sp?)

Its more than just entertainment. It has to do with interactions and as a former bay area radio listener thats what I enjoyed! T-Man may have been in SF for a week but whats going to happen in the future. Same goes for Seattle I bet they are the same.

Apparently, T-man will be in San Francisco doing the show 1 week a month. We'll see how that goes, that would get old and wearing on the staff after a while.

But they definately are putting work into making sure the show succeeds in San Fran. It'll be interesting to see the trends/book in the coming months.
