morning show [1] or co hosts...

Can't simply ask,
what's better ?

Depending on chemistry versus thrown together, and the market / format etc

In addition, taking out salary as a factor as any station owner would say a single host is half the cost of a team of 2... but the preference and long term success,
which style usually is seen as first choice?

Also,
It is a new trend with afternoons having two co hosts, usually the 3 - 7 drive time or evening 6 - 10 _ I am a fan of this dynamic.
however, one person in the morning is the way I would go _ thoughts ?

Are you talking about two cohosts on a three person afternoon show? Or two hosts? There can’t be two cohosts on a two person show.

Seems to me it depends on the format. And you really can't take out salary as a factor. If there's no money, there's no point.

Do you have an example?
Chum FM with radio pro Josie and co host ... afternoon drive;

another southern Ontario station,
CFNY has done / maybe still does a
two person broadcast drive time ...
or early evening.

Church of Lazlo has 3 people:

There was a 2 person afternoon show on Z95.7 in the mid 90s, then Mike Austin stayed put and his cohost got a late night show on the station. I can’t think of any others in the KC area.
