Morning Show Change at KRMD...

Just got this in an email.

To my friends, family and great listeners...

It's the ending of an era and the turning of the page for me.

I am sorry to announce that as of Friday, March 2, 2007 I will be leaving the air waves on 101.1 KRMD. I appreciate all the loyalty over the 10 years at KRMD and 16 years I spent in Shreveport radio but do not fear the changes. I am not going far. I am staying with Cumulus in Shreveport but switching gears to fill the role of Director of Engineering and IT. I have been wearing many hats at KRMD but they have decided to place Derek James in the mornings with Hillary Edman. I am not able to continue doing so many duties as a morning show host and DOE (Director of Engineering). March 5th would have been marked my 16th year on the radio. As of March 5th, I will assume the title of DOE and Derek James will slide into the mornings. Please welcome Derek to the mornings with Hillary and please keep in touch with me as much as possible. I will keep this email account a little longer until I decide to get a new one.

I figured that would eventually happen...he's been doing IT for them for a few years, I believe. I can't say that I'm a big Derek James fan, though. It'll be interesting to see how Hillary and Derek's chemestry will play out.
 
Even when Jasen did a stint at the Western Wear Store, he still did Production over at KRMD... Or at least I believe that is correct, if I am thinking of the same guy...

Jasen, you'll do fine... DOE's are hard to come by and can "write their ticket" almost anywhere they go... Good job and good luck
