Since when did slappin' the taste out of each other's mouth, flushing random objects down the toilet and trying to sound sexy while giving a traffic report become acceptable morning show content? That station just sucks all the way around. There's no talent on that floor. I give it another year before CBS turns JAMZ into AMP RADIO and guts the floor out. LA and San Diego have switched already so it won't take long for it to happen here. Same goes for the clowns over at KKFR...they suck. Bruce St. James is busy over there trying to find new ways to take on air jabs at personalities that aren't even on the air anymore. For example the "Ruben Estrada De La Cruz" mexican word of the day bit that the Nutz are so proud of. An obvious jab at Ruben S. from the former KZON morning show. IMO, Ruben's version was better. Joey sucking down helium and talking like a cholo is not funny. It's garbage...like 85% of morning drive shows here in the valley. Only people worth listening to right now IMO are John Holmberg, Chuck Powell, Tim & Willy and Johnjay and Rich.
 
I guess the ultimate bar for what passes as entertainment and suitable morning-show content bears out in the ratings.

Like the Middle Eastern Men of the Buckeye Media Hut, I am too cheap to subscribe to Arbytron, so I can't say for sure how many people find Da Nutz entertaining. Personally, I don't find anything they do entertaining, but that's just me.

I was scanning the dial this morning and enjoyed listening to Holmberg and Chuck Powell's shows. Oddly enough, I caught one of Chris Parker's breaks and didn't find him nearly as annoying as I used to. ;D

Tim and Willy give good radio as well, but then again, I'm not much for twang and drunk cowboy music.
 
I agree with all the above mentioned 'good' morning shows except Powell. I know he's only been back on for a week, but man, he just isn't sounding good.

Holmberg, on the other hand, is amazing. My wife (who is soooooo far out of the target demo) loves the show! If Holmberg didn't have to play music that only appeals to testosterone crazed young males.....he'd be over the top in ratings.

The morning show I don't get is Ned and Connie on KTAR FM. They're horrible. Ned's fake laugh is irritating and they're always talking on top of each other. No chemistry at all.

Give Chuck a chance...he'll be back in the groove in no time at all. It might just be the 70s music in the rotation that has him off his game.

Word of advice, Chuck: When the 70s music starts playing, turn down the speakers in the control room and just watch the VU meters dance. Andy Gibb, Barry Manilow and Dan Folgelberg (and bell bottoms) were the cause of many 30-year old virgins during the middle of a sexual revolution. Don't take a chance, turn the music down and whatever you do, don't ever sing along. ;D
